Evidence of Suitability for Passive Firestop Products

When:  Wed, Oct 14, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM (AET)

Understanding and verifying evidence of suitability is critical to ensuring compliant passive firestop installations—but navigating test reports, standards, and approvals can be complicated. This practical webinar demystifies the requirements and gives certifiers and surveyors the confidence to assess passive firestopping documentation correctly and efficiently.

The session will explain the purpose and application of AS 1530.4 and AS 4072.1, outlining how these standards relate to passive firestop testing and system assessment. It will also clarify who is accredited to conduct fire testing, who is qualified to assess test evidence, and what constitutes acceptable documentation on site and at certification stage.

By the end of the webinar, attendees will have a clear understanding of what evidence of suitability is required for passive firestop installations, how to identify common gaps or compliance risks, and how to streamline their assessment process. This clarity will improve productivity, reduce rework and disputes, and—over time—help lower defect rates across the industry as expectations become better understood and more consistently applied.
