About your Presenter
Stuart Bateson, MBA, Grad Dip Fraud Investigation, BPolicing (Investigations) has dedicated over 30 years to Australian law enforcement. In 2017, he received the Australian Police Medal for distinguished service, acknowledging his steadfast commitment to public service and community safety.
Throughout his career, Stuart held various crucial roles within Victoria Police, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in the face of evolving challenges. He transitioned from serving on the front lines as a patrol officer to leading specialised units investigating homicides, organised crime, and terrorism. His twelve years with the Homicide Squad equipped him with extensive experience investigating suspicious deaths and preparing briefs of evidence for prosecution in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Since retiring from law enforcement, Stuart has specialised in designing customised training seminars for professionals. The workshops generally cover vital topics, including investigation management, evidence gathering, investigative interviewing, operational safety and employee resilience and wellbeing. He also works as a volunteer peer support officer with Police Veterans Victoria.

AIBS Attendance Certificate
Please note that you will not automatically receive an attendance certificate for this event. AIBS does record your attendance at any of our face to face training events, webinars or AIBSTV.
When preparing your AIBS CPD Return, you are not required to provide a certificate of attendance for AIBS events, as your attendance is already recorded by our staff. When completing your CPD return please note the date and name of the event, and AIBS staff will verify your attendance against our records. This will save you having to find and collate your attendance certificates over your CPD year. Please note that for non-AIBS events your evidence of attendance is required.
However, if you need a certificate of attendance for your own records, please email events@aibs.com.au and your certificate will be sent via email.
